Beside a wonderful script with different layers the jury appreciated the film also for its stilistic qualities that make the film so very strong. For example the silences that contribute to the emotional story and also the images and sounds of the city that depict the urban society of Jordan.
What also makes the movie worthwhile is the parallel between the main character and the Arab world, that can among other things be found in the earthquake that shakes this world fysically and emotionally.
With this award Al Abdallah wins 7.500 euros for the realisation of his next project.
